my beautiful shoes....

This is an advice to all the shoe lovers out there.

Shoes are meant to be worn, not kept.

In just two months, I have thrown away five pairs of shoes. Two were worn through the sole, while the other three are practically brand new. If I had knew that shoes are not meant to be kept, I would have shipped all my shoes to Australia when I went over. My beautiful shoes..... I hope my boots won't turn out the same as well... Well, that just gives me the excuse of going over to colder climates as often as possible than. hehehe

Well, at least now I have more space for new shoes when I get my first pay cheque. Hurrah! One flats/ballet shoe is a must. I have my eye on one already, but it was not that comfortable, and the colour wasn't that great. Plus, my sis already has one that look like it but in a different colour. Next will be a pump/heels, preferably non-peep toed. And maybe one for the clubbing scene. Yay! can't wait.

Who cares bout insurance and credit cards. Shoes is every gal's necessities. And I can forget about getting a car as well.

Yay...2 weeks too late

I am back from down under. And feeling a bit under the weather.

So far, I have been bumming around in my house. Falling sick and falling lazy. Hah. Oh well there is the occasional pick up here and there. But nothing to brag about.

The new life in Malaysia as I can say is nothing like I have ever experience in pre-Australia Malaysia or during Australia. Found new things to myself that shocked some of my friends. Lets say I wont kiss and tell on this blog.

It is amazing that friendship can span overseas through the usage of internet. I would be terribly friend sick if it were not for the wonders of the internet. Miss you guys terribly much. But at the same time they give me something to look forward in the future with lots of encouragements.

So what has happened so far is... I have fallen terribly sick. Coming back from Melbourne's cold and cooling weather to the hot and humid weather of Malaysia has finally taken its toll on me. Hopefully this is not 'that' dreaded influenza. So to be on the safe side, a self imposed quarantine is in order.

So there goes the outings....

Un voyage en solo et un voyage a la montagne

Phew....last week was a tiring week. I went to Canberra and then Mount Buller for the weekends.

Canberra like everybody mentioned, is a pretty small city. Even the cab drivers said so. On my arrival, was fortunate enough to hitch a ride with a kind guy from melbourne Uni to YHA Australia. Receptionist was cute hence the kind guy's face and name was very soon forgotten. I know... I should repent.

The place I stayed at was pretty clean...well I have not been staying in many hostel/dorms before so I really can't comment. But one thing for sure, toilet was clean. That is my only major requirements. However, maybe they should sun their beds out sometimes. Had some itchy dots the next day.

One thing that I did manage to do in Canberra for the whole afternoon was sight seeing :)

There were tons of stuff to see. I went to the parliment house and gave my self a self-guided tour. Stepped into the major important halls (I for got their names....) where the bills are passed and so on. Man....security was strict! I had to take my boots of because the metal thingy kept setting the alarm off. That doesn't even happen in the airport. Oh well, not like politics will amuse me, but I sat through one of the hearings where they were discussing about the 'youth allowance' and something related to it.

After that I basically wondered out side the Parliment House and just walked in a straight line. Passed many buildings which I think are quite important like the High Court and Finance Buidling or something like that but my goal was the international Flag display which was like a few kilometers walk. I should have burned lots that day.

Other than that, I also manage to visit the national art gallery. Pretty interesting. They had a piece of art that basically looked like a huge (note: humongous) pile of shit on the floor. And it was considered art. LOL.

People in Canberra were pretty nice. I got a free ride to the embassy when I got lost. The guard from the Japanese embassy who helped me find the way was pretty cute too. hehehehe. And most of the cab drivers and bus driver was really helpfull.

The Buller trip was as beautiful as well. All thanks to Sue Lin and Kings, we had a fun weekend even though we did not manage to ski most of the times. I manage to see a shooting star or two and did some star gazing that I would never get in the suburbs and in KL. I saw snow falling this time and not just slush at the side of the street. Manage to make a snow ball but missed hitting anybody (it hit a tree, I have lousy aim). Made a new friend. Celebrated my birthday jsut the way I wanted this year. Small and simple with no booze. OK there were some wine, but very PG13 type of weekend.

All in all, a good trip even though it lasted only for a week.

Perth next week!!

I crave something

I crave for excitement and adventure. I crave for anything different from the usual day that goes by.

Being an unofficial graduate has its ups and downs. Ups being that I have all the free time to do anything and everything that I want. The downs being that I need money to do these things and thus have to work which ironically hampens my need to proceed with any plans and have fun.

Another thing about working is that you see the same old faces everyday. Even if You do happen to meet some interesting people some days you won't know when you would see them again.

My current life is dull that is all I can say. I have no existing social life as everybody is back in school or far away in another country. It is hard to make new friends when the people you meet are only during the fleeting few seconds during work time. And the people you work with are just...people you work with. Sigh.

Can't believe that I am so looking forward to go back to Malaysia. It has been 2 years almost and only now it hits me. I wonder if everything will improve when I get back home, this feeling of emptiness that I have been feeling for the past weeks. A friend once asked me whether do I ever have that sense of lonely feeling. Honestly it never really hit me till recently, I crave for friends (note plural not singular), I crave for a relationship (any form of it), I crave for my family (which I seldom do), but most of all I crave for something to make me feel alive.

I crave human contact.

Holy cow!

Nah...I did not really saw a holy cow.

Was listening to a song just recently after a marathon on House Season 5. Just realise that the song "Teardrop" by Newton Faulkner has the similar beat as the starting of House's intro song. Woah...

Googled it....and it is!!! well not by Newton Faulkner but rather by Massive Attack.

I know this is crazy, well not this maybe just me. With the result jitters and all. Damn excited and nervous and scared and happy. All mixed feelings inside.

The End, Finally.

Well this sorta marks the end of one chapter in my life (i.e. pre-school, primary school, high school etc.). I am finally done with studies. Period. Any further studying hence forth shall only be for fun. How studying can be fun in any sense, I have yet to find that out. So what are the chances?

Been looking forward to this year for a long time now. Imagine that a few years ago, I had a plan mapped out for my life. But some how over the years it got lost among the failing subjects. Now I am totally clueless and living by the moment. Hopefully I do not put it off this time as I have been doing all my life. Now....what is the plan...

Just found out that Daniel is going to get married this year September. The gal must be one hell of a convincer to be able to convince my brother who is forever shying away from the word 'marriage'. Too bad that I won't be able to witness their signing. But he said he will put off the dinner till next year. So many things I would like to know about the girl my brother is going to marry. Heck, I don't even know how she looks like. Knowing my brother, she would be small, thin and pretty. It's his typical type. Malaysian men's typical type. Oh well, I do wish them the best. As long as they give me nieces and nephews to play with.

Wonder what shall I do first when i get back to Malaysia...
